Combining Tennis, Basketball, and Skateboarding Flavors in Kids' Footwear
The TIMOUN model, introduced in the Fall Winter 2015 collection, adds value to the existing range by providing a mid-range proposal. I had the opportunity to work on the design of this shoe's upper, complementing the offering initiated by the Rioja model.
The board below illustrates the target audience of the TIMOUN model. Aimed at children, this design was crafted to accompany them during their recreational activities, drawing inspiration from the worlds of basketball and skateboarding.
Target Audience:
Meaning of the Name: TIMOUN, derived from Martinican Creole, translates to "child".
This significance reflects the essence and target audience of this creation.
The TIMOUN model is available in various categories: babies, children, juniors, and cadets. Each category boasts specific features, notably in terms of laces, where cadets benefit from polyester laces while other versions are equipped with elastic laces.
Design Process:
In crafting this model, I leveraged the lines of the Vulest model, retaining some parts for the final aesthetic.
A patchwork creation process was initiated to outline the final version of TIMOUN.

At Pick2Peak, our mission is encapsulated in our baseline: 'Carve your own way up to the peak.
WELCOME TO THE PICK2PEAK PROJECT.
Keep scrolling to explore the CMF (color, material, and finish) post-production, showcasing the trail running shoes. These creations embody my personal vision as I bring them to life within the group project. The original project, released in 2012, marks the genesis of our journey.
PICK2PEAK,
a conceptual French brand rooted in the majestic Pyrenees mountains, specializing in high-performance mountain running footwear. What sets Pick2Peak apart is its groundbreaking innovation, a patented retractable spikes grip system(GGS), introduced in 2010.
USERS
Here is a trend board that illustrates the product's usage environment.
THE ULTIMATE MOUNTAIN MUNCHER
Imagine a pair of running shoes equipped with retractable spikes, ready to engage whenever you need them, whether for a swift ascent or a secure descent on snow-covered peaks. This unique system transforms the shoe into a versatile hybrid, an essential companion for mountain running enthusiasts.
OUTLINE DESIGN
The aesthetics of the shoe are linked to its operating environment. It features a rugged design symbolizing a mountain range that extends over the shoe's upper to ensure durability. The upper combines various textiles to provide comfort, support, and optimal breathability during trail running.
The P2P brand's 'Mountain Muncher' model is a clever fusion of geometric shapes and volumes, resulting in a versatile sole architecture. It seamlessly adapts to asphalt roads, rocky trails, steep slopes, icy descents, and even water crossings. Notably, its design incorporates:
A sleek anti-slip surface / 6 robust retractable studs for extreme conditions / Triangular treads for roads and trails /Wide, flexible lugs for muddy, wet terrains along the sole's edge.
MECHANICAL TRANSMISSION
The pair of P2P Mountain Muncher shoes is equipped with the innovative and patented GGS technology since 2010. Thanks to the retractable spikes, the shoes provide stability and grip on snowy and ice-glazed surfaces.
ACCESSORIES
The shoe pair comes with accessories such as a carrying bag, a 2-in-1 cleaning brush, and an additional pair of insoles.
Redefining Comfort and Style for Kids
The Rioja project was an exciting venture, a transformation of the existing model named KOAGIO to create a new version. To develop this model, I utilized the previous version, KOAGIO, drawing inspiration from the trend book from PROMOSTYL while conducting independent trend and color research to assemble my trend board. This project posed a challenge: designing a new, more affordable version for various age groups, intended to launch in the French market at the start of the 2015 school year.

EARLY SAMPLES
Here are the three initial ideas that were produced as samples during the trip to Taiwan. The process of developing the initial samples involves various stages. Following these samples, the subsequent step involved sketching and designing to create the second sample.

2ND ROUND SAMPLE.
Here we have the three models selected during the internal meeting with the design team. After a final review with the head of the shoe department, iteration number 3 was chosen for sampling.
In order to communicate with the development team in Taiwan, I was able to create technical sheets that include PANTONE color codes, material nomenclature, as well as construction lines required for sample making.
According to the collection plan decided by the head of the shoe department, we opted for three colors to present to the buyers of the New Feel brand at Decathlon.

For the marketing of the model and its placement in the store for the child, junior, and cadet categories, the collection plan suggests two different constructions to adapt to various children's morphologies and mobility. Therefore, we have one model with laces and another model with a foot support strap combined with elastic laces.

Welcome to the journey behind the creation of the Fall-Winter 2015 shoe collection for New York Yankee. Explore the artistic and creative decisions that shaped these iconic designs.
Color Combinations and Material Exploration
Delving into vibrant color palettes and unique materials for the Sport models was an exciting venture. Collaboration with Promostyl led to inspiring discoveries, despite their initial winter trend predictions not resonating immediately.
Color Direction Board for Sport Models
CMF Silhouette Proposals for Sport Models
This phase involved creating CMF silhouette proposals for the Sport models, derived from the artistic color combination board. Each silhouette was meticulously crafted to reflect the desired aesthetic and capture the market's energy. The Vadim Men and Junior models acted as canvases for my creative explorations. Every variant, meticulously detailed and refined, aimed to offer customers a fresh perspective while preserving the essence of the original design.
Strategic Application of Metal Patches
A crucial aspect of this collection was the strategic application of metal patches. My role was to seamlessly integrate them with each silhouette, paying careful attention to hues and finishes to enhance the overall appeal.
Artistic Significance of Metal Patches
The introduction of metal patches in the Sport Cormik models brought together art and functionality. These patches, meticulously matched to the shoe hues, added sophistication and a unique identity to the collection.

Modeling and Developing Metal Patches
In addition to artistic design, I also handled the modeling and development of metal patches for the Mode models. This step required meticulous attention to detail to ensure their coherence with the overall design.

Designing Special Edition Shoes for Spring-Summer 2015
In the Spring-Summer 2015 season, I crafted C.M.F. (Color, Material, Finish) works for Kappa's Doresu model to create Specific Make-Ups (S.M.U) tailored for the French retail market, including La Halle, Intersport, GoSport, and Eram. These S.M.U versions were curated specifically for female clientele at each retail chain.
Creation Process
The creation process commenced by selecting color and material trends, utilizing existing color palettes, followed by proposing silhouette sketches. These sketches were approved by the shoe department, and upon validation, technical sheets were developed for the production of initial samples. These samples were then presented to the buyers from different retail chains. Subsequent adjustments were made post these presentations to finalize the models.

The Enna model, introduced during the Fall/Winter 2015 season, represents an evolution from Kappa's Doresu model. By working on Color, Material, and Finish (C.M.F.), I developed an exclusive Special Make Up (S.M.U) for La Halle in France. This model offers a blend of classic and lifestyle elements by combining Doresu's upper with a new platform-type sole.
Color Selections
The color choices were inspired by trend reports from the Promostyl bureau. Bordeaux Dark and Turquoise Dark were selected from these reports to align with ongoing trends.
Trend-inspired color selections - Bordeaux Dark and Turquoise Dark.
Associated Wardrobe Styles
Two distinct styles were created to complement the Enna model: one for winter and another for late summer.
These ensembles were designed to showcase the model's adaptability across various seasons.

Quarter and Collar Development
Three versions of the Kappa logo were proposed to enliven the quarter, but the decision leaned towards retaining the metallic badge, avoiding a complete departure from the original version.

New Summer Sandal - Martinique
For the 2018 season, a new version of the summer sandal hit the market. I actively participated in overseeing the development of this new model which I named "Martinique". It takes the design and structure of the Cannes model's strap and features a new sole.
Description of the Martinique Sandal
The Martinique model draws its design and structure from the strap of the renowned Cannes model. This newly created version features an entirely new sole, characterized by a mold that gives it a look akin to espadrille soles (woven ropes). This sole is assembled with the same base as our Cannes model, using high-quality rubber.

Eco-Friendly Retro-Running: Champenoise
In late 2015, I had the opportunity to oversee the development of the Chanpenoise model, a retro-running shoe that prioritized sustainability and eco-friendliness for the French brand Foryourearth (FYE).
Seasonal Adaptation & Market Analysis
To cater to the preferences of the Fall-Winter season and optimize the available warehouse stock, I embarked on the task of curating a new color scheme for the Chanpenoise. It was crucial to align these decisions with the predominant consumers, notably women in the Taiwanese market, ensuring an appealing product offering.
Material Selection Process
My process involved a meticulous review of existing material stock to propose three options aligning with market preferences and distribution needs. Ultimately, the chosen "Green Tea (Mocha)" iteration was crafted using Ultrasuede composed of PE and recycled plastic bottles, a 1/3 twill PE base from recycled materials, organic cotton linings and laces, an EVA midsole incorporating recycled shoes, and a rubber outsole mixed with recycled materials.
Care Instructions & Consumer Guidance
Recognizing the importance of proper care for sustainable footwear, I developed an informative label to guide consumers on maintaining their Chanpenoise shoes effectively. These instructions highlighted the necessity of eco-conscious care practices.
Development Process
Following the ideation phase, I closely monitored the entire development and production journey. Ensuring the use of eco-friendly processes and materials was pivotal at every stage, from concept to market readiness.

Others are exclusively 1/3 twill in PE, combined with recycled bottles. The inner linings and laces are sourced from organic cotton, and the midsoles are a combination of rubber and recycled shoes.
